Neue Bike-Kleider aus dem Norden
The "Fjørå" bike collection has undergone a completely new facelift and is almost unrecognizable. The Norwegians want one thing above all with their bike collection: to stand out. The line takes its name from a small village in the Sunnmøre Fjords, where farmers have been building steep trails to cross the mountain landscape for centuries.
These very trails were gradually converted for completely different purposes: For spectacular downhill descents that take technically skilled mountain bikers from 1100 meters above sea level down to the fjords. The "Norrøna" bike collection offers the right equipment for this terrain. In addition to clothing, the range also includes gloves and a freeride backpack.
A highlight of the range is the lightweight, thin "Fjørå aero 100 Jacket" windbreaker. At 107 g, it is so light that you can hardly feel it on your body. Nevertheless, it provides ideal protection from the wind and light precipitation. The jacket has an extended back section and extra-long sleeves so that it fits perfectly even in a stretched riding position. Thanks to its high breathability, the jacket should ensure a good body climate.
Norrønas Bike Short is a stylish, short over-the-knee pant with a casual, wide cut that is particularly suitable for freeriders and downhillers. The soft inner material makes them comfortable to wear. Optimal ventilation is guaranteed by the two side zippers. The nylon material is hard-wearing, robust and dries quickly. Four pockets provide plenty of storage space for small items. The upper waistband is cut higher at the back to protect the kidneys from the wind. In addition, adjustable Velcro fasteners allow you to adjust the waistband to your individual size. Padded under-layer trousers can easily be worn under the shorts.
The new "Fjørå Pack" backpack now holds 10 liters instead of 7 and features the Norwegians' patented "Ride Rail System", which allows bikers to adjust the shoulder straps perfectly to their size. The main compartment offers space for a pump, tools, hydration pack and inner tube, while the top pocket is suitable for small items such as sunglasses or muesli bars. Of course, there is also an integrated system for the hydration bag.
The company "Norrøna" was founded in 1929 by the Norwegian outdoor pioneer Jørgen Jørgensen and has been a family business for four generations. In its rich history, the Norwegians have already set several milestones for the outdoor industry: in 1972, the first tunnel tent was created, and in 1977, "Norrøna" was the first European company to use "Gore-Tex" in its jackets. Norrøna handles sales in-house and has its own sales agent for Switzerland, Stephan Schröder.
