Neue Freeride-Strecke im Kanton Uri
The trail was built entirely without heavy machinery, with the focus on the muscle power of the local mountain bikers. This gives the trail its own character, as experts have come to realize that "hand-built" trails are far more attractive and solid as a result than those that have been helped along with excavators and other aids.
Track contains everything50 percent of the route rides along an existing single trail, which has been refined with prepared curves, jumps and natural obstacles such as root passages and stones. In some sections, the route has a gradient of over 30 percent. The lower part of the route is much less steep and ideal for working on your riding technique.
Part of the track has been completely rebuilt and features large, wide and steep banked bends; jumps and Northshore elements are being planned. The remaining part of the route still has to be covered on a forest road, where forest traffic must be expected and the speed adjusted accordingly.
The trail builders also point out that the route should not be used after rainfall to avoid causing unnecessary damage. In addition, it is requested that the route is not used between November and March because part of the route is located in a wildlife protection zone, which is valid during the winter months.
