Thanks to integrated GPS, you can record your ride with the V650 and track your speed, distance and route on the large 2.8" color touchscreen. It also includes easy-to-use route guidance and provides the most accurate data thanks to the built-in barometric pressure sensor. Equipped with Polar's most advanced sports technology, the V650 comes in a modern product design. Streamlined and 120 grams light, the product is easy to attach to the bike with the new handlebar mount. With the large color display, cyclists have all their data in view and can switch between the individual training views with the touch of a finger, even at high riding speeds. The information on the display can be arranged and selected as desired, so that the most important details are clearly visible during the ride.

Smart coach

In addition to the versatile GPS functions, the Polar V650 also offers the Polar Smart Coaching functions, which provide important training information. When used with the Polar H6 or H7 Bluetooth Smart heart rate sensor, the cyclist gets a precise overview of the training benefit and the effect of the workout at different intensities. The athlete can find out what the training does at different intensities, what effect it has on the body and how long the individual recovery time takes. In addition, the Polar V650 is compatible with Bluetooth Smart bike sensors (speed, cadence and power sensor).

The Polar V650 can be connected to the free web service, where cyclists can plan and analyze their training sessions in detail. There will be further updates for the Polar Flow mobile app in 2014 so that it will also be compatible with the Polar V650.

Features of the V650

The most important functions of the V650 are: Altitude measurement (barometer), incline/decline, inclinometer, temperature and altitude compensated calorie display as well as heart rate, speed and cadence, forward-looking software so it will be easy to update and upgrade, 10 h battery life in training mode, charging and data transfer with standard micro USB cable, configurable display and bike settings, free use of Polar Flow web service and wireless connection to the Bluetooth Smart bike sensors and at a later stage to the Polar Flow mobile app.

Price, availability and compatibility
The Polar V650 is expected to be available from the end of May 2014. The retail price is CHF 279.90 or CHF 339.90 if the heart rate sensor is included. An update for the Bluetooth Smart bike functions will be available free of charge from June 2014.
