Corno Bussola
Description
From Brusson, take the road up to Estoul, the base of the small ski area. Ideally, you should organize a shuttle for this route. Then it's time for the ascent; in the summer months, you can even take the chairlift. Otherwise, you climb up the gravel road, head into the Vallone di Palasina and reach the Lago della Battaglia this way. From here, pushing and carrying is the order of the day. Climb up several steps until you reach a fork in the road just below the summit. Leave the bike here and climb up to the summit on foot. The view from up here towards Monte Rosa is simply phenomenal! The descent then leads over the ridge to the Col de Palasinaz. The path looks very dangerous from above, but it is not. The ridge is wide enough, but also very steep in places, and at one point the bike has to be pushed through a rocky passage. Now it's back to the ascent route and then back to Brusson on single trails past the Merendioux, Quiappa, Chavannes and Brenguez Alps. The final section in particular is another singletrail feast!

This tour is perfect for those who, like us, enjoy a bike and hike. The gravel path rides just below the lakes. Then it's another 1h 30 to the summit. The lakes are beautiful and the view from the summit is an absolute dream in all directions. The Monte Rosa massif is close enough to touch.
A little tip:
Be sure to jump into one of the lakes afterwards!
A mega tour for bike and hike fans!
We rode this tour recently and what can I say?
We were looking forward to ridge surfing, but there is nothing to be found. You can ride very short sections if you can master S3 perfectly, but you're more concerned with pushing and carrying your bike over the next summit. There is also nothing to be read in the description about the 2 secured sections (wire stirrups and fixed ropes). This is extremely dangerous for people who cannot carry their bikes in such climbing sections, especially if the ground is wet. The rideable sections in the upper part are also heavily eroded, which doesn't make it any easier. The best part to ride was the summit line, which is not even mentioned in the description.
Overall, the tour is a complete failure and the description of the tour is a joke at best, or even better, irresponsible if less experienced bikers embark on this tour.
I strongly advise against this tour, unless you like mountain climbing and just happen to have your bike with you.
