Mont Corquet
Description
The first thing to do in Fénis is a long climb up a small road. This leads past Sassogne to Druges-Désot and could also be done by shuttle. Just over 1000 meters in altitude are mastered on this path before the route turns into a steep gravel road. This rides up to Alp Prapremiere and is so steep that the bike has to be pushed from time to time. From the Alp, pushing is no longer an option and the bike is carried to the summit of Mont Corquet. From Druges to the summit, it is an arduous climb of around 1000 meters. But the first reward is the panoramic view of the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa. The second reward is the singletrail descent. This starts at Colle di Crotey and leads to the old ore mines (Servette) - a never-ending, fun singletrail. This is followed by a section of forest road and, after Fontillon, a fast flow trail to Viplana. You know this place from the ascent, now follow it uphill again for a bit, but then keep left at the next junction. A little after the last farmhouse, turn left onto the next singletrail descent - fast, flowy and varied. The descent is a real highlight and ends on the outskirts of Fénis.
