You can get to the starting point in Vens by shuttle or under your own steam via the access road from Aosta via Saint Nicolas. Follow the path parallel to a gravel road until you reach a bridge, change the valley floor, ride downhill for a few meters and then climb up to Alp Bard Damon. Here you have to push your bike up a few meters over a meadow until you soon reach a path that rides up to the Col de Bard. Here you first follow the path across the meadow and then turn right onto the sensational singletrail descent to Charvaz. The serpentine path to Fenetre starts at the lowest houses. The group of houses is circumnavigated below, followed by another section of singletrail, after which you roll downhill on a small road to Villaret. The descent ends here and, due to a lack of alternatives, you cycle along the main road to Villeneuve and later along the cycle path to the center of Aosta.
