Colle della Croce (La Thuile)
Description
From La Thuile, climb 500 meters in altitude on the little road with little traffic up to Colle San Carlo. A little after the top of the pass, a forest road branches off to the right. Follow this until you reach a fork in the road, keep right and gain altitude on the increasingly narrow path. Finally, you climb up a gently ascending single trail to Colle della Croce. It's worth making a detour to the summit here, the view from there of La Thuile, Courmayeur and the Mont Blanc massif is stunning. The descent then rides along the trail towards La Thuile. At first it is a little gravely, then it becomes increasingly flowy until it turns into a super trail from the tree line onwards. The trail is easy to recognize and rides all the way to Thovex, the western district of La Thuile.

One of the most beautiful climbs: a singletrack that’s fully rideable through stunning scenery. You’ll push your bike to the summit and enjoy the magnificent view of Mont Blanc. The descent starts out dusty and loose with boulders, then gets smoother and smoother as you ride through the forest. Highly recommended!
Fantastic ride, nice climb although quite busy on a Saturday in August. The walkers don't seem to be on th descent though.
Great fun, lovely switchbacks!
We rode the tour today, everything in perfect condition (last WE was the EDR and the tour was stage).
Very rewarding tour, the difficulty 3/6 fully applies.
The uphill is also very pleasant and super beautiful!
Brilliant tour, Uphill is an ingenious, rideable single trail in a landscape that just amazes! We pushed the bike the few meters to the summit, well worth it!
The top part of the descent from the pass is very washed out in places and has large boulders... this soon changes and then it's just ride on and on to the beer in La Thuile
The descent is in perfect condition
The upper part of the trail is washed out and absolutely no fun!
The trail ascent is great and the view is top class.
