The starting point of the tour is the Oberursel-Hohemark subway station on Line U3. If you prefer, you can take Bus Line 57 up to the Grosser Feldberg. Up to two bicycles can be carried per trip. From May through October, the Weiltalbus (Line 245) has a large bicycle trailer. In this case, the ascent is possible as far as Sandplacken, just below the Grosser Feldberg. Those who ride up under their own power should first follow the Massborn Stream and then climb traffic-free gravel roads all the way to the summit.

The Grosser Feldberg is the starting point of the Schoppen Trail on the northern side. This fairly natural and at times rugged trail serves as the introduction to the flow trail combo. The trail ends after 1.7 kilometers just above Oberreifenberg, after which another 120 meters of elevation gain must be conquered to reach Windeck.
