Description

The starting point for this tour is Saint-André-les-Alpes. The direct route rides on asphalt up to the parking lot below the Chalvet summit. However, this version includes a worthwhile additional loop via La Mure. This gives you a great trail into the Issole valley right at the start. The ascent then follows from the north on gravel roads to the parking lot around 600 meters above the village. This is where the actual trail descent back to Saint-André begins.

This route option includes an intermediate descent. Afterwards, a short asphalt section takes you to the parking lot and the start of the main route. If you prefer a shorter route, you can skip the loop and go straight to the final descent.

The main descent is a varied single trail, which is mainly in the S2 range, but also has S3 passages in places. The trail winds elegantly downhill, offering plenty of flow, technical challenges and beautiful views. In the lower part, you cross the main road, cross it and take on a few gravel sections for the last few meters to roll back to the center of Saint-André-les-Alpes.
