Obviously, there is a demand for universal full-suspension e-mountainbikes. Recently, more and more models have appeared that are not only suitable for off-road riding, but also for everyday use or trekking tours. One of these bikes is the Focus Thron2, which is more than just a trail bike.

Like e-mountainbikes or hate them, the Jam² combines the advantages of a conventional mountain bike with the benefits of an additional drive. But is a combination of these two sides even possible?

Focus has stated that it no longer wants to produce e-mountainbikes. With the Jam², the Stuttgart-based company is presenting a mountain bike with an integrated motor and battery weighing just over 20 kilograms. With the additional battery, the Jam²'s range of use can be extended even further.

Jolanda Neff and Linda Indergand start their Olympic premiere today at 5.30 pm Swiss time. Their choice of bikes is somewhat surprising, as both riders rely on their hardtails.

With 130 millimetres of suspension travel at the front and 120 millimetres at the rear, Focus presents the new entry-level trail bike Vice. The Jam is Focus' second bike with the new F.O.L.D. kinematics. The all-mountain bike comes on 27.5-inch wheels, with 140 millimetres of suspension travel and a playful geometry. It closes the gap in the range between the existing trail and enduro bikes. There are a total of six versions of the Jam - three in carbon and three in aluminum.

The shock linkage on Florian Vogel's cross-country bike remained hidden for around ten months. Now the game of hide-and-seek is over: Focus presents the O1E with 100 millimetres of travel, controlled via the new suspension system called F.O.L.D. This is intended to guarantee a fine response and a progressive spring characteristic. Vogel's racing weapon is also interesting in other respects.

The German bicycle manufacturer Focus is presenting its e-mountainbike project based on the "Raven" hardtail for the first time. This sporty pedelec is said to weigh less than 15 kilograms - thanks to a new type of motor and carbon frame. A tuned version weighing just under 13 kilograms is also available to demonstrate the possibilities. Whether and when the bike will come onto the market still depends on a number of factors.

As expected, Nino Schurter will be using a new full-suspension bike for the race in La Bresse. Not only has the design of the Scott Spark been completely changed, but the wheel size has also been adapted. In general, the new bike is very reminiscent of a mini freerider or an enduro bike, a development that can also be observed on Florian Vogel's Focus bike.

The Focus Spine top model tested comes with top-of-the-range equipment. With the Rock Shox RS-1, DT Swiss carbon wheels, Sram XX-1 drivetrain and Twinloc gears, the carbon version weighs less than 11 kilograms. In the test, the high-end model impresses as a fun trail bike.

With the improved Raven Max, Focus is launching a new race hardtail whose frame has not only been slimmed down to 885 grams, but also offers the rider more comfort. The Raven Max comes with 27.5 and 29-inch wheels and its own thru-axle system.

Focus is expanding its Fully line with 2 new products. The Sam model will be available in a lightweight carbon version from August. A total novelty is presented with the Spine. An agile trail bike with twelve centimetres of suspension travel under eleven kilograms.

The cross-country specialist from Glarus is riding for the Focus XC Team this season. Gallati only signed with the German racing team in January. His goal is clearly to repeat his good World Cup results from 2011. He will also compete in the races of the "BMC Racing Cup" and the German Mountain Bike Bundesliga.

In addition to the new "Raven 650B 1.0" hardtail, Focus will be presenting a fully-fledged bike with 29er wheels for the first time in 2013.

German bicycle manufacturer Focus has extended its collaboration with the world's fourth largest cycling tour, the Tour de Suisse, for a further three years. Focus is now a co-sponsor of the Swiss tour.

Focus is presenting its first racing hardtail on large wheels for the coming model year with the "Raven 29r". The bike features well thought-out details and an appealing, unique frame design.

Focus has a new highlight in its range for the coming year with the 100-millimeter "FSL 1.0" fully suspension bike.

Mike Kluge was the best-known German bike racer for years and founded his own bike brand Focus in 1992. After a long creative break, Mike "The Bike" has returned to his baby and will be active in the areas of development, team support and customer training for Focus.

Both the First marathon fully and the Raven hardtail have been redesigned by Focus. While the First has mainly been worked on in terms of appearance, the Raven has been given a new, beautifully shaped carbon frame.

In addition to the new "Thunder" and "Project" bikes with plenty of suspension travel, Focus also shines with its "Raven" hardtail. The heavily revised "Raven Extreme" was presented with a gold award at Eurobike. The completely new frame boasts several features. Internally routed cables, brake mount on the chainstay and comfort flex seat stays for the necessary seating comfort.
