Hohlandsbourg
Description
The tour starts in Wintzenheim to the west of Colmar. Climb up a small road to the Hengstweg and on to the forest chapel (Chapelle de Bois). The ups and downs take you past Sainte-Gertrude up to Egisheim, where the longest climb of the day begins. The little road (Route des Cinq Châteaux) takes you past Husseren les Châteaux and up a good 300 meters to the ridge. A short start loop, then down into the Vallée de Wilsbach. You then climb another 150 meters up to Hohlandsbourg. You now descend on a first-class trail until you reach the ascent route just above Wintzenheim. Cycle along this back to the starting point.
Route: Wintzenheim - Beerland - Hengstweg - Chapelle de Bois - Sainte-Getrude - Chateau de Hagueneck - Husseren les Châteaux - Bergrücken - Blaue Lache - Vallée de Wilsbach - Châteaux de Hohlandsbourg - Monument Meyer - Wintzenheim

Tour on 9 June 24 with my Specialized Enduro. Fun tour with a few stinging nettle passages.
Very beautiful and not particularly challenging tour. The trails are in great condition. Various other trails cross this track. The tour can easily be extended
Rode the tour on 16.09.23 with my Habit. Trail not difficult and very quick to ride. Practically no hikers crossed. Region has many trails, unfortunately I haven't found any smart routes yet. Absolutely suitable for e-bikes.
super tour
Took the tour to Hohlandsbourg today. Easy and beautiful tour with flowing trails. The climbs are mostly on roads or forest paths. In between, there are some very nice single trails to ride. The whole area is certainly under bike pressure from Colmar and or Freiburg. However, I didn't meet any bikers today and only very few hikers. Everyone probably knew that the local "Green Authority" was out and about on horseback. They wait comfortably by the campfire on behalf of the hunters and foresters at the Forêt Dominale de Wilsbach and collect a lot of € from passing bikers when they indulge in their sport on the hiking trails. Today I was caught as a tourist :-) So, beware of the mounted order! Just pay and ride on.....!
