Brugiana-Trails
Description
The route starts above, or slightly north of, Massa. At first, the route follows paved roads, then continues steadily uphill on gravel. The climb is efficiently designed, allowing you to gain elevation quickly. Even during the ascent, you’ll pass several trailheads and intersections that can be used later for alternative routes. At around 750 meters above sea level, the highest point of the tour is reached, marking the start of the trail.
Over the so-called Pietra Bianca—the characteristic white stones—the descent flows smoothly at difficulty levels S1 to S2 back to the ascent route. This is briefly crossed before continuing downhill along the southern slopes. This section, too, is very smooth at difficulty level S2 and ends back in the residential area at the lower end, where you rejoin the uphill route.
The ascent can now be used multiple times to combine various upper trail sections, which are already clearly visible during the climb. The difficulty level remains consistently between S1 and S2 throughout. This makes the loop ideal for playful line selection and offers attractive trail combinations even for e-mountain bikers.
