Buocher Höhe – Kackstuhl-Trail

Buocher Höhe (Winnenden, Stuttgart)

A trail playground for mountain bikers has developed in the Buocher Höhe near Winnenden near Stuttgart.

Description

The starting point of the tour is the town of Winnenden, which can be easily reached from Stuttgart by S-Bahn (S3) in 30 minutes. From the train station, head south to the end of the town at the highway exit. The route climbs up to the Hanweiler Sattel, where the first trail (Kopfsache Trail) is added to the route shortly beforehand. The ups and downs take you to the Kleinheppacher Kopf and the start of the Kackstuhl Trail. This leads down to the Gundelsbach stream, along which you roll downhill again to the village of the same name. Now it's time for the gravel road ascent to Kreuzeiche and the trail descent back down to Gundelsbach.

Now it's up to the ridge, where you turn into the downhill trail to Hanweiler via the Shorty Trail. A short access point takes you back to the Hanweiler Sattel. At Korber Kopf, you enter the Hinterkopf trail and then head down to the Schelmenholz quarter on a mix of gravel and trail.

Note: The tour is located in Baden-Württemberg with the legal requirement of a two-meter rule. This tour contains elements that do not comply with this regulation. Rather, it reflects routes that are ridden by local mountain bikers. Compliance with the regulations is the responsibility of each individual mountain biker.
