Madonnina
Description
The tour starts at a small rest stop on the north side of Monte Argentario. The cycle path running parallel to the road takes you to the road to Monte Argentario after around 1.5 kilometers. It rides uphill at a pleasant gradient, past an old monastery and a few bends further up you turn left to a viewpoint over the lagoon. A little further on, you enter the first descent, which is rough and steep in places and rides around one hundred meters up the north side of Monte Argentario. This descent can also be omitted by riding straight on at the start of the trail and reaching Poggio Tondo directly.
After the Crocicchio trail, a loop takes you to Poggio Tondo, the highest point of the tour, where you enter the second descent. Initially via a firebreak, a fun single trail called "Madonnina" soon branches off to the right. A counter-climb over a gravel road then leads to the highlight of the tour, the "Senal Trail". Fun is guaranteed here as the trail leads through a small gorge and features natural berms, small jumps and a few rock slabs. From the end of the trail, you roll briefly down the valley on a small road before turning right onto a gravel path a little later. This leads directly into the last trail of the tour, which practically takes you to the sea. The route then follows the road back to the starting point.
