Napf Marathon | Ride MTB

Napf Marathon

The Napf Marathon has become famous as an event organized by the local company Stöckli. It takes place annually and is a mixture of relaxed bike tour and competition, but can also be tackled on its own every year. The tour offers scenic attractions and does not require any technical riding skills.

Description

From Wolhusen, follow the Wigger upstream, pass the Talhof and then climb via Waldisbüel to Längebüelschür and then roll past Guetenegg in the direction of Menzberg. Just before the village, keep right and follow the signposted mountain bike route along the ridge to Stächelegg. The last steep section up to the mountain restaurant at the top of the Napf is still to come. The return journey follows the same route to Stächelegg, but rides straight on to Oberänzi and then descends over the Grosseberg into the Fontanne valley. The route now climbs up to Menzberg, later passing Guetenegg, which you know from the approach, but then stays on the ridge and reaches Twerenegg. Ride down through the Äbnetwald forest to the valley floor on the outskirts of Wolhusen. You then reach the village center again on local roads.
