Schwarzwälder Drei-Seen-Tour

Hochfirst mit Titisee

Lake Schluchsee and Lake Titisee are two highlights of the Upper Black Forest. They are the backdrop to this tour, spiced up with lots of beautiful single trails.

Description

The tour can be started either in Neustadt, Titisee or Schluchsee. In this case, the starting point is the small town of Neustadt, which is easily accessible by train from the Freiburg region.

From Neustadt, you ride up the mountain a few meters on the Quartierstrasse just behind the train station, but then keep right and turn into the first singletrail. The S0 trail serves as an excellent connection over to Titisee, interrupted by gravel roads. After an obligatory photo stop at Titisee, things get tougher: the ascent to the Rotkreuz Pass takes place via a well-maintained but steep gravel road. The 150 vertical meters are quickly covered. An undulating gravel road then leads southwards to Altglashütten and along the Windgfällweiher pond. The destination is the mountain ridge at Bildstein, where the magnificent Grenzweg trail begins, which merges into the Jägersteig trail. This varied singletrail descent leads directly to Schluchsee and is also very popular with hikers, which is why particularly considerate riding is required.

The Schluchsee serves as the starting point for the longer transfer back towards Neustadt. This begins with great, flat single trails through mossy woodland. The second part of the transfer to Lenzkirch in particular also includes longer gravel road sections. Lenzkirch is finally the starting point for the ascent to the Hochfirst. The Black Forest summit offers a fantastic view over Lake Titisee and the Feldberg behind it. It is also the starting point of the first-class and super-flowing trail down to Neustadt. The trail ends exactly where you turned right onto the trail to Titisee in the morning.

Note: The tour is located in Baden-Württemberg with the legal requirement of a two-meter rule. This tour contains elements that do not comply with this regulation. Rather, it reflects routes that are ridden by local mountain bikers. Compliance with the regulations is the responsibility of each individual mountain biker.

Einfache, landschaftlich schöne Tour ohne technische Herausforderungen. Der flowige Trail am Schluss ist das Highlight.
