Schluchsee – Bonndorf
Description
The tour starts shortly after Schluchsee with wonderful, flat single trails through mossy woodland. An intermediate section on the main road is necessary before you continue on trails to Glashütten. This is the start of the next trail - the Mühlenbachwegle. This wider path is occasionally interrupted by forest roads and finally leads you on a flat, charming section through dense forest to the outskirts of Bonndorf. A little later, you reach the Ganderweg, a narrow path that winds along the side of the valley towards Sommerau and joins a forest road. Follow the country road to Sommerau, continue uphill, pass the main road and then take the rocky path, which, contrary to its name, contains no rocks, to the small gorge lake. The route continues along wide footpaths to the large Rothaus brewery, an impressive complex of buildings in the middle of the Black Forest.
A section on a gravel road leads back to Schluchsee, where the final trail section of the tour begins: the Panorama Trail high above the lake along the main road. This trail leads back to the village of Schluchsee, where you can enjoy a drink on the lakeside promenade together with many day-trippers.
Note: The tour is located in Baden-Württemberg with the legal requirement of a two-meter rule. This tour contains elements that do not comply with this regulation. Rather, it reflects routes that are ridden by local mountain bikers. Compliance with the regulations is the responsibility of each individual mountain biker.

I do not recommend. Did it on July 2026 and about 50 percent of the single trail was abandoned.
