Justistal
Description
From Thun railroad station, initially follow the marked mountain bike route (Route 2) to Steffisburg and up the mountain road to Buchen. In Burghalte, turn left off the marked route and follow the mountain road to Horrenbach and then ascend via Hornegg to Schörizegg. There are another 200 meters of ascent to Sichle, which you cover on a single trail, sometimes by pushing. The highest point is now reached and the descent through the wild and romantic Suldtal begins. Initially, the trail is difficult in terms of riding technique, with less experienced bikers having to push in some sections. At Hindersbergalp, the toughest part is over and you now whizz downhill on an alpine road between the Sigriswiler Rothorn and the Gemmenalphorn to the Grönhütte and then follow the Veloland route to Sigriswil. In Tschingel, you ride downhill along a small mountain road to the shores of Lake Thun and reach the starting point in Thun by road.

Salut la team !
Overall rating is ok in my opinion. This is more a sightseeing tour that a pure MTB one. The last 200m from the big climb, indeed one has to carry the bike on his shoulder ! But hey, thats part of the experience of a mountainbiker. The way down is fun on the first km but then its mostly road. So I recommend not to follow the GPS track and have some fun on the side and take some of the small path on the way down. However, the view on the lake is incredible. Amazing panorama. The last couple of km to Thun are mostly road so I recommend to stay a bit higher up adn avoid the main road. Other wise, this tour is worth the view of Justistal on the top
The ascent is very beautiful in terms of scenery, but the first 24km are on tar. The 200m/30min of "partly pushing" up to Sichle is probably mostly pushing and also bumping. After Sichle there is about 10 minutes of cool, slightly exposed but quite rideable singletrail, then it's all tarmac again until Thun. Conclusion: Magnificent scenery in autumn, but almost 95% of the route on tarred road....
Pleasant ascent and exciting with a carrying section at the end. The descent, however, is very disappointing; apart from a small section of singletrail at the beginning, most of it is on asphalt...
