Slightly above the beautiful village of Baška near Draga Bašcanska, a challenging but epic enduro tour begins in a bizarre landscape that cannot be found anywhere else on the island.

Description

The tour begins in Draga Bašcanska and initially rides uphill on a Karn gravel path, later on asphalt with varying gradients. At the saddle, turn left and follow the asphalt road, later a gravel road, until you reach the viewing platform, from where you have an impressive view of the Baška gorge. The descent or traverse then begins, which is sometimes challenging and involves pushing in sections, in the direction of Na Plakari.

From Na Plakari, the route continues to the summit of Obzova, the highest point of the tour. Here you can enjoy a unique view of the karst landscapes of the island of Krk, the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding islands. The single trail runs continuously with difficulty levels S2 to S3. The karst rock in combination with loose gravel makes the descent challenging. It is helpful to master the hairpin bend technique. There is even a spring at an altitude of around 400 m above sea level, depending on the rainfall and dry periods on the island. The descent is similar back to the starting point, where you finally meet the uphill section. This is a fantastic tour that is not recommended due to the extreme heat and the high number of tourists in the summer months of July/August.
