The Ochsen is ideally located at the foot of the Jura in the exciting border triangle of Switzerland-Germany-France and just outside Basel (10km). The bike tours start directly behind the hotel to the local mountain Gempen and to the foothills of the Jura. The butcher, biker and hotelier Christoph Jenzer has been involved for many years with the "Goldwurst-Power" team for cycling in the region, the Arlesheim house trail and pump track and has been organizing the www.bikefestival-basel.ch for over 20 years.

The Hotel Gasthof zum Ochsen is a hotel with tradition and history, the restaurant stands for pure meat enjoyment and culinary highlights. The hotel was extensively renovated in 2016/17. All hotel rooms have been completely renovated and convey comfort and coziness with modern design and high-quality materials.
