Leimentaler Grenz-Trails

This easy and leisurely tour takes you around the upper Leimental on the outskirts of Basel. The route rides along beautiful flow trails, especially along the state border.

Description

From Oberwil, the route leads along local roads to the French-Swiss border, which you follow southwards for a while on a singletrail. Above Biel-Benken, you maintain altitude and then ride above Ritty down to Leymen and reach the border between Bättwil and Flüh via French territory. Now follow the edge of the forest along the Witterswilerberg to Ettingen, where you reach the official mountain bike route (Route 1). Follow this in the direction of Bruderholz and then turn left back to Oberwil.
