Bürenflue
Description
From Liestal, you initially ride along the marked hiking trails on the southern side of the valley through the Oristal to Büren. The actual ascent begins here, climbing up to Nättenberg on a somewhat steep forest path. This is where the phenomenal single trail along the Bürenflue begins. On the outskirts of Gempen, take the little road to Nuglar for a few meters, but then turn left onto a singletrail and follow it downhill to Neunuglar. The route continues along the main road on a singletrail back to Liestal.

We rode the tour today. The climb from Büren is for the hardy - the gradient is over 20% on a slippery surface.
At the top of the ridge, the trail is beautiful, always up and down. There were a few walkers along the way.
We also took Alexander's extension: Take the gravel path to the right to Schlimmberg, go straight on for a short while after the bend and then look for the trail to the left. It always rides along the edge - also very rewarding.
There is also a nice trail on the descent from the high plateau and then another nice trail shortly after Neunuglar (which you can also ride uphill) down to Liestal.
Is this the best trail in the Basel region? But the variant via Schlimmberg definitely adds value! It was a really nice tour. An ebike is worth its weight in gold for the ascent from Büren...
Great tour, be sure to take the trail described by Alexander. Keep your eyes open, you can ride in both directions.
Checked
After Bürenflue, you can head towards Slimmberg (practically at the same altitude) and continue riding along the edge. This gives you another ~3km of singletrail.
