Basel Rundtour
Description
From Basel main station, follow the cycle paths to Kleinbasel, pass Badischer Bahnhof and continue along the cycle route to Riehen. Now take the steep gravel path up to St. Chrischona, where you can see the transmitter antenna from afar. There is a special path for mountain bikers back to Basel here, but on the circular tour you ride over the Landesgranze, then immediately turn left and head onto an old single trail that leads directly to the former Wyhlen monastery. You soon reach an official cycle path again, which you follow eastwards and cross the Rhine at the power station to Augst. Now you cycle through the town of Pratteln, past the Adlerhof, past the Hotel Bad Schauenburg and finally reach the outskirts of Gempen. This is followed by a crisp singletrail descent to Aesch, with a short ascent on the main road in between. After Aesch, you climb up through the single-family house district of Pfeffingen to the castle, then roll along country and gravel roads to the Blatte Pass and climb up to the Blauens mountain ridge. Follow this to the Challpass. Here you change to the ridge at Galgenfelsen, where a first-class descent leads down to the castle. Now head through the forest to the north of Metzerlen and Mariastein to the Landkronberg, and after a steep descent on the Grenzwächterweg trail you reach Leymen. Switch to the other side of the Leimental valley and follow this ridge to Binningen, including some wonderful singletrail sections. It's now not far back to Basel train station.

Oftringen - Basel (Muttenz) May 2021
The tour from Trimbach up to the Belchenflue takes some energy. But the scenic view is very beautiful!
The route on to Oberdorf is varied and has a very nice single trail. (Video)
From Oberdorf onwards, there is a lot of tarmac under the wheels. The Gempen plateau is a flat singletrail.
On the Schartenfue (Gempen tower), various trails wind their way down to Muttent.
Conclusion: Trimbach to Oberdorf is an interesting and beautiful tour, worth repeating.
Oberdorf to Muttenz is scenically beautiful in spring when the flowers are in bloom.
A few impressions on my video..........

Very nice bike tour with many small, biting climbs, also worth seeing are the 2 ruins of Pfeffingen Castle and
Burg-Landskron.... There are also two 3 beautiful single trails, but fitness is more important than biking technique... At the end of the tour you can marvel at the Swisscom tower on the St. Chrischona... All in all, a beautiful day bike tour!
