Lingenberg
Description
From the village center in Büsserach, you climb up to Grindel on country and forest roads and from there on to the Stierenberg. This is reached via a section of forest road through the forest at Falchriedberg and then climbs up to Stierenberg from the western side. Good bikers now climb the ridge of the Stierenberg and follow it to Welschgätterli and on to the Oberbergli farm. This is also a direct route for those who are not quite as technically adept. It's a racy ride down to Erschwil and on along the mountain road past the Morbach farm, Hoch Chalchofen and Güggelhof up to Mettenberg. We don't miss the fun singletrail to Meltingen, but later have to ride back to the starting point on a steep path. If you want to save energy, skip this detour. Finally, head from Mettenberg onto the long singletrail over the Lingenberg, past the Neu Thierstein ruins to the village center of Büsserach.
Alternatives:
- Technical singletrail over the ridge of the Stierenberg
- Skip the detour to Meltingen and shorten the route

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the previous speakers: I live in Büsserach and can therefore say with certainty that the Lingenberg is not rideable. For 90% of the route from the crossing of the high-voltage power line at the very beginning of the Lingenberg, you have to push or carry your bike. A better alternative is to turn right at point 739 down towards Fehren and then left again to Büsserach or instead of going up the ridge of the Lingenberg, descend to Schang/Langmatt. Both are forest roads, but better than injuring yourself.
We hiked this tour the day before yesterday on a rainy day without bikes. And we were happy. From Chemmiflueh onwards, the route could be a little longer, but otherwise it is simply too bumpy, too narrow and too steep to ride. Beautiful trail running route, less suitable for bikes. You have to be willing to climb up and down a lot.
This tour starts well! After you have reached the first altitude, a very great view awaits you! Unfortunately, all the descents are not trails but normal paths! The last part on the mountain crest is unfortunately 90% not passable and you have to cover it on foot! But we had a sensational fall day...;-)
