Tiersteinberg

The Tiersteinberg is Frick's local mountain. It is the base for a fun and not too difficult single trail tour through the Fricktal valley.

Description

From Frick, head up the mountain in the direction of the Alt Tierstein ruins and circle the Tiersteinberg on the northern side. You make rapid progress on forest roads with constant ups and downs and finally climb to the Kei area north of Roti Flue. The Roti Flue is then the start of the short, racy descent to Rothenfluh, where a small road takes you straight back up to the Kei area. Forest roads lead to Fazedelle, where the single trail over the Tiersteinberg starts. Follow this to the Alt Tierstein ruins, climb up again to the Alt Homberg ruins and return to Frick via the ridge.

The last descent is fun and on singletrack. Up to this point, the singletrail share is a maximum of 10 percent.
