Wasserflue Nordrunde
Description
From Frick, follow the main road to Wittnau, but turn left here and climb up over the Alteberg and past the Burghof to the summit of the Burgfluh. On the last section, the bike has to be pushed a few meters. This is followed by a short but fun descent, then a short counter-climb, and finally you reach the Salhöhe on single trails and forest roads. This is where the ascent to the Wasserflue begins, the last section is somewhat technical but manageable for good mountain bikers. The view from the Wasserflue is phenomenal. The descent leads over the first-class single trail through the Brunneberg to Küttigen. Half of the tour is done, now it's time to head back to Frick. From Küttigen, follow the little road up to the Bänkerjoch, turn left at the first large meadow and climb up to the parking lot below the Herzberg. Climb a few more meters up to Asperstrihe, from where a first-class singletrail rides almost all the way to Bänkerjoch. You reach Stockmatt, follow the singletrail below the Strihe for a while and then take the forest and country road to Oberfrick.

Heiko, thank you for your comments. Perhaps you could also link the better option here? And yes, as you wrote, there would be better tours.
Conclusion "Unrewarding & illogical".
A tour that stubbornly follows the hiking trail, no matter how (un)sensible the incline, the ground, the detours etc. are/is. There are plenty of alternatives, but these variants are perfectly bypassed. You push up the most beautiful trails while other bikers come down from above !?!? Great thing.
The ascent to the Wasserfallen is partly doable, but not much fun due to the many boulders and steps. (The stones, massively scratched by the many clipless pedals, show that not much is ridden here either). The trail descent is nice and those who like tight (forest) hairpin bends will certainly have fun for a few hundred meters.
The rest of the tour is gravel and asphalt, with a short detour to a mini-trail (which has also been specially marked with a cantonal bike ban). But that's only 200m, then you're back on gravel and dirt road terrain until Frick. (Because that's what the hiking trail does).
If you take a close look at the map of the area, you'll see that there really are better things to do. Even if it's just that you connect some sections of the tour differently or more "biker-like". Then it might even be fun in the end ;-)
