Baden-Olten
Description
From Baden train station, you first roll up to Allmend via local roads and then on to Baldegg. The first singletrail fun is along the ridge to Birmenstorf. Here you cross the Reuss and follow the country road to Lupfig, where the ascent up to Chestenberg begins. Single trail number two is reached. This is a fun path along the ridge down to Wildegg Castle and on to the town center. Now you cross the Aare, whereupon you reach the Gisliflue with its wonderful view of the Mittelland on forest roads and finally on a steep cart track. Singletrail number three now leads, again along the ridge, down to the Gatter. From here you climb up to Hombergeregg. Single trail number four is a special highlight and leads down to Küttigen on a varied path. There is a section on the main road in the direction of Bänkerjoch to reach Wasserflue from the south. Single trail number five leads over the ridge again, passing the Salhöhe and later reaching the Geissflue. Anyone who only knows serpentine trails from the Alps will be proven wrong here. After the short but crisp descent, there is a longer transfer section to Froburg, where single trail number seven begins at the ruins. This forms the final section of the tour and leads along a first-class flowing path to Hauensteinstrasse on the outskirts of Trimbach. From here, you can follow the main road to Olten railroad station or take the route through the forest to the south of the village and add single trail number eight to the tour.

Awesome tour - but nothing is for free. Lots of ups and downs, many trails, but almost everything rideable. Riding ban Wasserflue-Salhöchi: there were a few hikers on a Sunday, but all very friendly to highly respectful ;-) We did the whole thing as a bikepacking tour from Zurich. Extension Olten-Biel is next on the agenda.
I doubt whether it's better to ride (or carry) an e-bike to the TV tower on the Wasserflue than on a normal bike. In addition, there is now a ban on bikes in the direction of Salhöchi.
It seems that the track rides from Olten to Baden instead of the other way around! When I activated "navigate to start" on my Garmin at the start of the tour in Baden, the track took us along the main road towards Olten. We missed the first singletrail.
Ride should update the GPX track!
