Description
From Olten, you pass through the old town to Hammer station and then follow the Dünnernbach stream until after the industrial area of Wangen. Turn right here towards Rickenbach and climb up via Vogelberg towards Allerheiligenberg. Halfway up, you cross the Tüfelsschlucht gorge and then reach Sattelhöchi on a forest path and a little later Höchi Flue. You have to push your bike up the last few meters, after which the singletrail fun to Tiefmatt begins. This section is particularly impressive in foehn weather when the view of the Alps is especially beautiful. From Tiefmatt, you ride downhill on single trails to the Alp and on to Oberbuchsiten. Return to Olten either by train or along the edge of the forest to Hägendorf and finally along the Dünnernbach stream back to Olten.

I did the tour with my wife, who wanted a nice, not too strenuous tour with a great view and a great single trail. And that's what she got. We had our last espresso in Olten, crossed the historic wooden bridge and then rode to Rickenbach on asphalt (no drama) to the location of the first uphill. The first ascent is mostly on beautiful. Forest paths, where the Alps peek out from time to time. Once we reach the Höchi flue, we are amazed by the panoramic view from the Geneva Alps to the foothills of the St Gallen Alps. In fine but clear weather (unfortunately not today) you have an incredible panorama. Then it's over a beautiful Singeli obis, nidsi to the Alte Bechburg (impressive). The Singeli continues over meadows and forest sections. It's nice that the meadows are protected by bike-friendly gates. Afterwards we are hungry and head for the beautiful Tiefmatt mountain restaurant. Afterwards, a little snack until we head down to Hägendorf on forest paths. The return trip to Olten is mostly on forest and small roads, but even that is no drama. All in all a great easy tour with singletracks and a top panorama

Tour with a great panorama! The ascent is easy to do. Once at the top, there are a few cool trails. After that, unfortunately not so much trail - but a fantastic view. Before/after the restaurant "Zur Alp" in Oberbuchsiten there is the "Schnarz Trail" on trailforks, which can be included. We also started from Rickenbach/Hägendorf.
