The route starts in Rossiglione. From this village on the Torrente Stura, the trail rides steadily uphill, first on asphalt and later on gravel, until it reaches an elevation of just under 600 meters above sea level. During the ascent, sweeping views open up, which are particularly striking in spring and late fall due to the sparse vegetation. However, don’t expect an overly dramatic panorama. The descent on the Bardotto Trail is smooth, rated S2 and S2+, and the lower section offers an exciting ride along the ridge, ending right at the highway rest stop in the Valle Stura. On varied terrain ranging from gravel to forest floor, you’ll ride your mountain bike through dense black pine forests. The transfer back to the starting point is via the Strada Provinciale.
