Blue Line Geislingen

Blue Line Geislingen

A full range of singletrack trails without having to rely on advanced riding skills. You can do that in Geislingen. The route around the town features many fast and scenic trails.

Description

The tour’s name comes from the easy, blue trails. These trails take you around the town of Geislingen, constantly hugging the edges of the terrain. The route begins with an ascent to Weiler, where the almost endless fun of single-track riding begins. The trail continues southward along the ridge. On the final stretch before Ziegelhütte, you’ll ride on a gravel road before shifting focus back to the trails on the opposite side. The S1 trail also runs consistently along the edge here. This brings you to the large cross immediately above Geislingen. Continue following the path to Kahlenstein and from there head swiftly and smoothly down to Bad Überkingen.

Next, you switch to the other side of the valley and climb up toward Oberböhringen. On this route, you use the main road. While there are single-track options for the climb, these are difficult to manage without the proper riding technique or an e-mountain bike. Before the golf course, turn right onto the next trail, pass through Ramsfelden, and shortly after the end of the golf course, reach the start of the McDonald Trail. This excellently designed trail features jumps, including “chicken lines,” as well as an original route. It’s a real joy to ride and leads, with only one interruption, all the way to the village of Kuchen.

The final phase of the route begins with a ride up the gravel road to the Kuchalb plateau. You follow the fast-paced trail along the edge of the terrain until you find yourself directly above Geislingen. A pleasantly rideable switchback trail forms the crowning finale of this first-class and fluid single-track tour.

Note: The tour is located in Baden-Württemberg with the legal requirement of a two-meter rule. This tour contains elements that do not comply with this regulation. Rather, it reflects routes that are ridden by local mountain bikers. Compliance with the regulations is the responsibility of each individual mountain biker.
