Burg Hohenneuffen
Description
The tour begins rather unspectacularly: from the picturesque center of Bad Urach, you climb up to Grabenstetten on gravel roads and cross the expansive plain to Sterrenberg. Here you reach the ridge from where the terrain drops steeply down to Oberlenningen. This point marks the actual start of the tour as you take the trail along the ridge to the north. A fantastic and flowing path opens up, which after eight kilometers leads in serpentine mode down to Beuren.
The lost height must then be regained by riding up to Hohenneuffen Castle. The well-preserved fortress ruins are definitely worth a visit and form the starting point for the long and fantastic singletrail ride back to Bad Urach. Follow the edge of the mountain, which drops steeply to the right into the Erms Valley. You follow this flowing trail for thirteen kilometers before it descends in a flowing zigzag to the first houses of Bad Urach. Ideally, the tour ends in one of the charming beer gardens in the extraordinary town center of Bad Urach.
Note: The tour is located in Baden-Württemberg with the legal requirement of a two-meter rule. This tour contains elements that do not comply with this regulation. Rather, it reflects routes that are ridden by local mountain bikers. Compliance with the regulations is the responsibility of each individual mountain biker.
