Cima dei Paradisi

Cima Paradisi

In the lonely Vanoi Valley, the tour rides up the Cima dei Paradisi - a very difficult tour with a very long carrying passage. However, you are rewarded with wonderful trails and a rustic, secluded mountain landscape.

Description

You start the tour in Caoria and begin the long forest road ascent to Malga Fossernica di Fuori. The ascent has some wonderful views of the surrounding mountains, so you can take your mind off the 12-kilometre and 940-metre ascent. After Malga Fossernica di Fiori, things start to get really strenuous. Initially, it is difficult to find the small path towards Cima dei Paradisi. There are a lot of fallen trees in the way, which makes the search even more difficult (summer 2021). Carry the bike in a northerly direction and at some point you will come to the path. Now you carry and push  about 400 meters up to the summit of Cima dei Pardisi. The effort is rewarded with a magnificent view. The trenches at the summit are a historical reminder of the First World War.

From here, a wonderful natural trail of S2 to S3 difficulty leads down to Malga Fossernica di Dentro. This is managed and invites you to take a short break. The Valon Trail then leads down into the Vanoi Valley. The trail is very flowy and fast and makes you forget all the exertions of the ascent for good. Finally, you return to the tarred road and roll downhill back to Caoria.
