Dünser Horn
Description
The route starts in Nenzing, not far from Feldkirch on the Arlberg highway. Initially, you roll flat through the valley floor to Satteins and then start the wooded climb up to Übersaxen. At the top, the terrain becomes more open and you pass the Dünser Horn to the south. The ascent to the summit is not worthwhile, as the dense forest offers no panoramic views. It is better to ride directly to the Dünser Älpele and stop for refreshments at the inn. The Dünser Älpele is the culmination point of the tour and the start of the descent.
The descent rides on flowing and varied trails through the forest to the cable car mountain station. The terrain now becomes more open again, the trail rides quite steeply through meadowy terrain and leads back into the forest further down. A great S2 trail (decorated with a small, handmade prohibition sign) now winds through the forest down to Schnifis. The final section of the descent to Bludesch is a combination of trails and gravel roads. A cycle path finally takes you back to Nenzing.
Note: The route is located on Austrian territory and leads over routes that are not approved for mountain bikers. Riding this route on a mountain bike is the responsibility of each individual, in full awareness of the legal situation.

A really cool ride. The climb is long and makes for a great, long training session. On April 11, 2026, there was still some snow at the top. The descent is absolutely amazing. It’s very smooth and varied, with roots, rocks, and some really fast meadow trails.
