Falkeflue
Description
From Thun, initially take the Veloland route to Steffisburg and follow this to Rachholtern and the Kreuzweg settlement. After a group of houses, turn left, pass the Rotache stream and then climb via Bätterich and Hemeinschwand to the ridge trail, which rides as a flowing singletrail up to Falkenflue. The following section to Niderbleiken is challenging; less experienced mountain bikers should take the mountain road for this section. Below Niderbleiken, the trail becomes smoother again and rides all the way to Bode. You then follow the Veloland route to Heimberg and follow the Aare back to the center of Thun.

A really beautiful fall tour!
On the trail section between the Falkenfluh and Bleiken, concentration and eye technique are crucial. The key section, which is quite steep and adorned with many steps and roots, can be ridden without the risk of falling. However, dismounting is no disgrace. For me, the trickiest part came right at the end, where a hairpin bend with steps forced me to dismount involuntarily. Fortunately without any consequences... If you associate the S in front of the numbers with fun, it was definitely S5😊🤟 I then descended to Oberdiessbach and added the Güggeltrail. Absolutely recommendable!
tried it in the reverse direction - for those that like hike-a-bike, the section between Niederbleiken and Falkenflue is great 😉, even saw a Gämse!
Really nice trail. There are couple of S4 parts... if you approach during dry conditions it's ok:)
Very nice tour.
The following comment on "The next section to Niderbleiken is challenging, less experienced mountain bikers should take the mountain road for this section.":
This section is also difficult for experienced bikers, longer sections are difficulty 4 or even 5.
In my opinion, this section is difficulty 4, but it should also be mentioned that the trail is quite exposed in places.
beautiful view
