Description

From Hornberg train station, you roll uphill for a while on the road until the first single trail starts on the outskirts of the village. This leads slightly uphill through the dense forest to a gravel road. You have to ride a few meters on this until the next uphill trail starts on the left. A gravel road is also reached here later, which serves as a transfer to the next trail. In this mode, you ride southwards through the forest, which is not very typical of the Black Forest: many pine trees and dry ground characterize the picture. Finally, you reach the turning point of the tour at Bertaquelle and the ascent up to Immelsbacher Höhe. First on a gravel road, then after the rest area on a trail. E-mountain bikers and fit contemporaries manage the ascent to the summit by riding, while "normal mortals" push a few meters at the beginning. The Immelsbacher Höhe (772 meters above sea level) offers a great view down into the Gutach Valley, but is above all the starting point of the first-class singletrail descent via the Felsenweg down to Hornberg (384 meters above sea level). Rode it today - nice trail tour, I added it as a supplement to the Wetzelhütten-Bärenfelsen tour. That's quite a route then. Thanks for this tour.
