The route begins in Zollhaus, the hamlet can be reached from Plaffeien on the little road. The first section rides along the Gurnigelstrasse to Sangernboden. In the village, turn left and climb up the road to the hamlet of Ottenleue. From here, it is 140 meters up to the Horbüelpass, the starting point of the descent. Follow the singletrail along the ridge as far as Hällstett and then keep left. The steep singletrail now leads almost all the way back to Zollhaus. Only on the last 100 meters of altitude difference do you have to switch to the asphalt road due to a lack of singletrail alternatives.
