Lommiswil

The singletrail tour to Hasenmatt is one of the most beautiful routes in the Solothurn region and can be ridden in two lengths.

Description

From Solothurn, follow the Aare upstream, but then branch off to the right at Bellach and climb up to Lommiswil. If there is still snow at higher altitudes or if you are not in good enough shape, take the short version past the quarry to Weberhüsli, where the original route joins from above. For the latter, the route continues uphill at the edge of the Lommiswil forest, eventually reaching the Schauenburg mountain lodge through the Lochbach gorge. The ascent to Hasenmatt is very steep from here. Many people push their bikes, although it is also possible to climb up to Hasenmatt on the little road via Althüsli. The descent then leads along the ridge trail, later on the forest road to Hinter Weissenstein. A few meters after the inn, turn right onto a singletrail that rides downhill over the Nesselboden to Weberhüsli. There is now a 130-metre ascent to master to reach Rüttenen on the singletrails below Pechflue and St. Niklaus on the outskirts of Solothurn via Martinsflue.

Nice tour. Unfortunately, the downhill route is currently closed due to new construction and about 300-400tm between Nesselboden and Weberhüsli have to be "destroyed" on a forest road. According to the Weissensteinbahnen website, the route should open in summer 2022. But this is not yet the case.
We also had another e-biker in the group. The pushing section just before the Hasenmatt was very steep for him and we had to carry the bike in pairs at times.

A fantastic tour! Thank you very much, I really recommend it and everything is really easy to ride (except of course the last ascent to the Hasenmatt)!

The tour can also be done in the opposite direction. From the hasenmatt, a beautiful single trail leads back to lommiswil. At the junction after the summit section, take a sharp right (below the barbecue area) onto the trail. Red on the trail map. Flowy with some rocky sections

The panorama is beautiful, but we found the downhill sections rather disappointing. The downhill trail was super rough, the rest ok, but not really much flow. But we still had a great day.
We were riding enduro e-bikes, with the battery still at 50% at the end. We parked in Langendorf and saved ourselves the part through Solothurn.

Really a fantastic tour! Apart from the climbs on forest roads, it's all singletrack. The difficulty is correctly indicated.
From the summit, follow the hiking trail. Where the path goes down steps to the left, two trails branch off to the right into the forest, but these are quite overgrown and lead you astray.
Whether you follow the gpx at the Nesselboden lift station or the dark red downhill sign, the result is the same. You end up on the downhill trail. This could do with some maintenance.

A truly amazing tour, well worth the climb, even if you have to carry your bike up the last section of the hiking trail to Hasenmatt. The view is phenomenal, as is the descent. Shortly after the Nesselboden lift station, a downhill route branches off to the left (marked with a small sign), be sure to take it, it's awesome (but beware, there are doubles and road/rivergaps, check the jumps beforehand...). !!

One of the best tours with super panoramic & endurance & monster singletrail character. A must for anyone who is out and about in the area. Even though the ascent to Hasenmatt and the subsequent hiking trail are really steep and the bike definitely has to be pushed or carried a few meters, it is more than worth it for the reward of the trail that follows. It's constant, with small interruptions and a short climb, seemingly endless on awesome trails, almost right back to the front door of Solothurn. Compliments to the route finders! First class.
Definitely a 5-star tour with addictive character that you can ride again and again with confidence. And with a rating of 3, it is also rated absolutely correctly. If you don't dare or the wooden steps are too slippery for you, you can safely push the sections. There are only a few and they are all quite short.
