Weissenstein Nord | Ride MTB

Weissenstein Nord

The Weissenstein is a well-known mountain bike destination in the Solothurn region. However, the north side from the Delémont region also offers many options.

Description

The tour starts in the village of Crémines, which is quick and easy to reach from Delémont. On the ascent, you pass Corcelles and continue along the little road to the Pâturage derrière. Turn right here and climb via Probsteberg up to the Harzer at 1144 meters above sea level. A first descent follows, on which you reach the village of Welschenrohr via single trails, forest paths and country roads. Now comes the pièce de résistance with the ascent to Balmberg. The road is legendary among racing cyclists due to its enormous steepness. On the hill, the route continues up a steep forest road to Weissenstein, 200 meters further up. It's worth taking a break at the inn here for the fantastic view. The descent rides along farm tracks and single trails directly to Gänsbrunnen and from here along the main road through the Klus to the small zoo in Crémines. You finally return to the starting point via Corcelles.
