Combe de Vivier

Delémont is an excellent starting point for singletrail tours. The route to Combe de Vivier is one of them and rides through the Jura mountains to the north.

Description

From Delémont, you reach the Jura mountain range to the north on local roads and follow this eastwards to the vicinity of La Golatte. Now begins the 400-metre ascent to the La Haute Borne alpine farm. You now follow the ridge, pass the road to Pleigne and finally head along the singletrail on the ridge at Mettembert. Just above Soyhières, you come to a stream, which you follow uphill to the Grande Branchenal. Now it's time for another short ascent to the highest point of the Plaine de la Chaine, where the brilliant final descent to Delémont begins. The crisp super trail leads over the ridge right to the outskirts of Delémont.

The first ascent could be shortened via a direct road.
1st descent towards Soyhieres mostly dirt road!
2nd singletrail really flowy and cool.
We only recommend riding the 2nd part of the tour if you like riding trails.

Tour done on 11.07.20. Top single trail at the end. Rest quite easy and scenic. Tour in a clockwise direction.
