Monte Frassinello
Description
The tour starts in Colle di Nava and follows the tarred road towards Monte Ariolo. The tarred road soon becomes a gravel road and after the Ariolo, at a fork, you ride left towards the wind turbines. At the Passo di Prale, take the SP216 to the Colle di Caprauna. Here the first trail starts up and down the slope, becoming rocky and fast in the undergrowth until you reach the Madonna della Neve and ride steeply uphill on the gravel road.
Now the Frassinello Ridge Trail begins. Partly pushing and carrying, it goes over rock blocks and the path is difficult to see. But you always stay on the ridge, which is the best orientation. After a few ups and downs, the descent to Sant Antonino is very steep in places. This is followed by a very steep, blocked downhill with some pretty steep steps. Immediately to the right is a small path to Pieve di Teco. Here you can stop for a bite to eat, as you still have 700 meters to climb back to Nava. At the end of Pieve di Teco, ride along the SP6 towards Moano, Armo. After almost five kilometers, turn left towards Trastanello. Shortly before Trastanello, turn left towards San Bernardo d'Armo. The road soon becomes a gravel road and rides back to the access road behind Monte Ariolo. A small trail begins just after Colle San Bernardo, which soon becomes a bike park trail. Fast berms and jumps take you back to Colle di Nava. Conclusion: What a dream tour!
