From Schaffhausen railroad station, you reach the village of Herblingen on signposted cycle paths. Now it's up to Herblingen Castle and through the surrounding woods and over a short section of trail to Büttenhardt. Always follow the path along the ridge, reaching Längenberg and finally Buechbrunnen near Herblingen. Finally, you return to Schaffhausen railroad station along the Durachbach stream.
