Santenberg

The lovely foothills of the Alps in the Lucerne hinterland hide many routes that are not very technically difficult. One of these is the route over the Santenberg near Dagmersellen, which can be extended into a brisk tour.

Description

From Dagmersellen, you pass the highway exit and take the forest road up to the Santeberg. This is quickly climbed and the route continues along the ridge to Chätzigerhöchi. Head downhill to the Berghof and add an additional loop through the Grundwald forest and the Stockacher. Parallel to this, but a little further south, you ride back to Wauwilerberg and Ängelberg and then largely follow the altitude until a trail leads directly into the village shortly before Nebikon. In Nebikon, you change sides of the valley and climb up a small road to Altishoferwald. You then climb via Huebe up to Äberdinge and ride through the Burgwald forest to Richenthal. The ascent to Schallbrig is the basis for the short and crisp final descent to Dagmersellen.
