The tour begins with one of the most beautiful road cycling routes in Europe: the coastal road between Tossa de Mar and Sant Feliu. The steep, red cliffs are interspersed with idyllic sandy beaches and lush green pine forests – a real dream! The winding road climbs steadily up and down until the road to Ermita de Sant Grau branches off on the left. This asphalt road with a pleasant gradient passes the Sant Grau church and shortly afterwards reaches the highest point of the road (approx. 470 meters above sea level). Here we turn left, switch to gravel and ride up and down to Montllor, the starting point of the descent back towards Tossa. The first few meters of the descent towards Tossa de Mar are on gravel before a barely visible trail branches off to the right – our descent option. The trail is extremely varied: sometimes smooth and agile, then steep and technically demanding again. It descends through steep terrain, almost to sea level. At the end of the trail, you reach a gravel road, which you follow uphill to the right. The following 140 meters of elevation gain are well worth the effort, as they lead to the start of a first-class trail that rides smoothly and diversely down to the Tossa sewage treatment plant. From here, you can roll back to the center of Tossa at a leisurely pace or continue on the smooth trails that run above the campground and lead directly to the center of Tossa de Mar.
