The current MTB season is still in full swing, and yet next year is already casting its first shadows. For example, with the legendary Ride wall calendar - the 2025 version is now available. "Ride" has once again compiled 13 of its best trail images into a large-format wall calendar.

This was the Ride Partner Summit 2024: a great and uncomplicated event with inspiring short presentations is in the books and the event pictures are in the database. Here's a look back at the summit at the Road World Championships in Zurich.

It's time for the monthly review of new ride tours. In September 2024, the tour database grew by 16 routes. The focus was on the Swabian Alb, the area around Innsbruck and the Upper Valais.

April marks the start of the season for many mountain bikers. That's why Ride's spring issue focuses on two tours that are already offering plenty of trail fun: the Olten circuit and the route through the southern slopes near Crans-Montana. There is also a report from the bike park in La Grave and a story about what is probably the most unusual bike hotel: the Canvas in Norway.

The Ride tour database has grown by 46 tours in the first three months of 2024, with a focus on Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.

Ride has activated its dotcom domain with immediate effect. The website now runs at ride-mtb.com. The content remains unchanged, it is primarily the external image that is changing.

Piz Palü is one of the peaks where ski touring and singletrail mountain biking can be combined in one day. The Ride Camp from 3 to 5 May takes advantage of the short time window for this special tour: in the morning on skis to the almost 3,900-metre-high glacier summit. The Diavolezza will then become a transition zone, after which you can race down to Poschiavo on a mountain bike.

While biting temperatures are still sweeping through the Alps, at Ride all signs are already pointing to summer trail fun. The first 2024 issue is currently in print, and this marks a small "turning point".

The beginning of the year is a good opportunity to look back on the past year. This also applies to Ride. The 2023 figures are impressive: The tour database has increased by 25%, the route network of the web map by 15% and the number of user accounts has risen to over 30,000 for the first time.

Ride is now saying goodbye to its lettering and replacing it with an icon. At the same time, all products will come under one brand umbrella. The changes are a milestone on the way from a classic magazine to a trail service provider. And a symbol of modern media production.

And finally, there is the Ziteil Chapel in Graubünden, where you are closer to heaven than almost anywhere else.

More than fifty friends and partners of Ride met at the first Ride Partner Summit on May 11, 2023. High-quality input in the form of presentations from tourism, industry and infrastructure was framed by an uncomplicated exchange. The event took place at the start of Cycle Week in Zurich to exploit synergies and will be continued the following year.

The May issue of Ride arrived hot off the press today. The magazine is all about season planning. These include the Bocchetta di Forcola on the Umbrail Pass, the Punta Leysser near Aosta, the Etzel on Lake Zurich and the road trip to Åre in Sweden.

Just published: the April issue of Ride. It's the traditional start to the season with plenty of anticipation for the summer's trail menu. Including: Tête de Balme (Valais), Niesen (Thun) and Fuorcla Valletta (Upper Engadine).

While humming weather is sweeping through Central Europe, the best biking conditions are already prevailing in southern climes. For example in Barcelona. The city is not only a tourist magnet but also a trail hotspot. That's why Ride has published a spot guide to the Spanish city.

Ride sent a surprise package to 313 Ride subscribers in the last few days. Every subscriber who entered an online comment in the tour database last year received a Champion Muesli from bio familia with Nino Schurter.

Germany can do more than sauerkraut! This is shown by Ride's review of the year 2022. Last year, the editorial team researched a total of 500 new singletrail tours and added 33,000 kilometers to the route network of the Singletrail Map. Most of them in southern Germany. Welcome aboard, Krauts!

Ride is stepping up a gear and increasing the number of issues per year to a total of six. This additional issue has just been published. Packaged as a travel special, it arouses anticipation for the next mountain bike season and marks the start of Ride's tourism offensive.

Winter is still hanging over the Alps, but at Ride the focus has long been back on single trails since this week. This is because the first print edition is now rolling off the presses. In other words: If you take out a subscription right now, you'll get all 2023 issues delivered to your door.

Mountain biking is all about adventure and discovering new things. Ride is therefore placing a stronger focus on the travel sector and is launching its sixth print issue at the beginning of February. The magazine will be published as a "Travel Special" and brings a concentrated load of inspiration for the upcoming mountain bike season.

The mountain bike tourism industry is going through an armchair change. The Herbert information and booking platform will be fully integrated into the Ride brand next year. By expanding to the entire German-speaking Alpine region, the pioneering project from Graubünden will have a considerably greater reach.

This summer, Ride has considerably expanded the route network of the Singletrail Map (6000 kilometers) and its tour database (43 entries) with routes from the Black Forest. However, the unspeakable two-meter rule applies here. This raises the question: is this the right thing to do or is it a disservice to the sport of mountain biking?
