The starting point of the tour is the village center of Ajdovscina in the Viapava Valley. Follow the main road towards Nova Gorica for a short distance, but then soon turn right and head uphill. First on asphalt, then on gravel, you climb up to the mountain road, which you follow to the ridge. The ascent is now in the books and the focus shifts to the descent. To do this, keep straight on at a left-hand bend and a small parking lot and continue along the ridge on a trail until you reach a small saddle. The actual descent branches off sharply to the right here - a narrow trail that hugs the rock formations of the ridge. As the distance increases, the trail becomes smoother and smoother, flowing through the forest in a varied manner until you reach the mountain road. Follow this downhill for a while, but then keep right to reach the trails made by the locals. These start in the middle of the forest and there are several great options before finally returning to civilization at the pump track and the dirt jumps on the outskirts of Ajdovscina. There is even a bike wash facility at the pump track. Roll back to the starting point on the local road.
