Description

Starting point of the tour Ajdovščina in Primorska. We continue on little roads with hardly any traffic to Col  and via Makobeti to the ridge where the mountain drops steeply into the main valley. Not far from here is the Kovk summit, which gives the tour its name. The ascent takes place on well-maintained roads, mostly on asphalt, and at the end on gravel. Finally, you follow the trail that runs along the ridge. This is a little bumpy in places, then smoother, but generally easy to ride with a great view down into the main valley of Ajdovščina.

At a depression (Podrta Gora), you reach the start of the descent. The trail is quite steep at first, but then becomes smoother and smoother. It becomes really fun after crossing a gravel road and even more fun after crossing the main road. Local mountain bikers have lent a hand here with shovels and turned the path into a fun trail with some original lines. Finally, you reach the bottom of the valley and roll the last, short stretch back to Ajdovščina.
