Becca d'Aver (Châtillon)
Description
From Châtillon, there is first a long asphalt ascent to Torgnon. Initially, follow the main road towards Valtournenche, but then turn left in Antey and climb up to Torgnon. Follow the road unabated until you reach a large parking lot. Theoretically, you could also ride a bike shuttle up to here. The route now turns into a gravel path, which soon becomes very steep and finally leads into a singletrail up to the Col d'Aver. The bike has to be carried here, as well as on the last section up to the summit. The view from up here of the Matterhorn and almost the entire Aosta Valley is fantastic. The following descent, first a section on the ascent route, then on the trail down to the Col des Bornes, is initially very technical, but then becomes increasingly flowy. After the Col de Saint-Panthaléon at the latest, where you also have to master a short counter-climb, the route is fast and flowy. It rides along the ridge to the Saint-Evence chapel. Then you keep right to the village of Pau, from there you reach Grand Bison and finally head into the crisp final section through the steep mountain flanks. This path rides directly into the center of Châtillon.

I only rode the tour up to 1800m (I skipped the summit section) and I also technically adapted the ascent to eMTB. But the descent was a dream.
The view of the Matterhorn was still possible further down.
Super tour!!!
