Description

With regard to the Black Hole Trail, it should be mentioned that it runs completely underground. It rides down over a total of 5 horizons and 150 vertical meters. The difficulty can be classified between S1 and S2, whereby careful local coordination is required in any case. The biking requires some familiarization, especially in narrow and crouched sections, which should not be underestimated. It is important to note that the Black Hole Trail can only be booked as a guided tour. Independent exploration or driving is therefore not possible.

In 2023, the Black Hole Trail project was awarded the quality mark in Slovenia. Overall, it offers a fascinating adventure and a unique opportunity to bike underground. It is advisable to take sufficient clothing with you, as it is not particularly warm in some of the tunnels. The Black Hole Trail is particularly suitable for experienced riders. For families or beginners, however, there is the option of exploring the tunnel from south to north on a guided tour. This tour also includes shuttle transportation with the bikes to the entrance portal. The route then rides through the historic mountain tunnel and ends back in daylight above the information point with the parking lot. Here too, it is important to bring warm clothing as it can be chilly in the tunnels.
