Single Trail Park Jamnica

The border area between Slovenia and Austria near Prevalje offers rolling hills with traditional villages and a singletrail park with natural trails of varying difficulty.

Description

The tour starts in the center of Prevalje. It then heads through the Slovenian district towards Strojna, a high-altitude hamlet at almost 1000 meters above sea level. The uphill to this village is mostly on asphalt with varying gradients and always offers good panoramic views. Passing Strojna, the route heads towards Mavrevov vrh, where the uphill runs directly uphill past a small idol statue. After that, you come across the first singletrail.

Relatively easy with the S1 categorization, the route follows the ridge in a relaxed manner before heading north again on gravel towards Jamnica to the bike park. This offers countless possibilities. Difficulty class S0 to S3 and also uphill trails are available here. If you want to stick to the GPS track, ride along a single trail with a difficulty level of S2 to S3 and almost reach the valley floor again on paved trails. After that, you can ride uphill on the uphill trails or the gravel road, with countless options in combination with the singletrails. Afterwards, you roll relaxed back towards the Meža River and then back to the starting point in Prevalje.

In August 2023, there were severe storms in this region. Some single trails are now difficult to ride on, but are being repaired.
