Bric Schenasso

One of the most beautiful bike tours in the Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena area. After a long ascent, the effort is rewarded with fast and challenging trails.

Description

From Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, ride along the SP52 for ten kilometers to Colle Scravaion. Leave the SP52 and pedal up the smaller road. A few hairpin bends further on, the forest road begins that rides to Bric Schenasso. From here, you have a gigantic view over the surrounding mountains and the border with Piedmont is not far away either.

For the descent, turn left onto the Tobogazzo Trail. You surf energetically through the natural surroundings, with many surprises along the edges of the terrain. Don't ride to the end of the trail, but turn left at the bottom. Now follow the slope up some steep ramps to La Contessa Trail. This trail is aptly named, as it is rough and rocky here. A fast downhill where it really rattles. Once you arrive in Poggio, ride up the tarred road to the start of the Super Canaletta. This leads back to Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena in a very scenic way.

Background to Ride MTB

Ride MTB is dedicated to mountain biking. With the maps Ride Trail Maps and Trail Books and the print magazine Ride, it has played a formative role in alpine mountain biking for many years and has shaped it like few other organizations.
